Born in 1972, Deon Cole has been entertaining audiences around the globe since he graduated from Philander Smith College with a degree in acting.
The multi-talented comedian and actor's journey began as a scriptwriter for The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien from 2009 to 2010. His comedic genius then led him to a two-year stint as a writer for Conan from 2010 to 2012.
In 2013, Deon Cole stepped into the spotlight as the host of his own comedy show, titled "Deon Cole's Black Box," which was HUGELY successful. Following that, he showcased his comedic talent as Detective Tanner in the parody comedy series, "Angie Tribeca."
But the entertainment doesn't stop there! Deon Cole continues to amaze global audiences. Currently, he's gracing our screens as the mysterious Joe Washington in the dark comedy series, "Average Joe," produced by BET+ and brought to life by the talented Robb Cullen. Alongside soap opera sensation Tammy Townsend, he takes center stage in this hilarious show. And that's not all—Deon Cole is also set to shine in the upcoming musical coming-of-age film, "The Color Purple," based on the beloved novel of the same name and directed by Blitz Bawazule.
