Dexter and the Moonrocks broke out in 2021 from West Texas. The quartet described their music as Western space grunger, infusing country music with grunge and alternative rock elements. The band released their single, “Couch,” which was beloved for its slow burn appeal and melancholic tendencies. The band signed with Big Loud Records in 2024 and released the single, “Sad in Carolina,” their first single to ever break into the charts, peaking at number 1 on the Alternative Airplay on Billboard. The band also recently came out with an anthemic rock single, “Ritalin.”
