Malcolm’s Wholesome Rockstar Tour is hitting venues all across the country - like at The Sylvee in Wisconsin, Cleveland’s Agora Theatre, College Street in New Haven, LONDON and the o2, Paris and Zurich to wrap up things later in the Fall time, and of course - right here at the Murat to kick things off as the 4th stop in this awesome live show experience the twenty one year old is giving us. It’s giving Bedroom pop boyhood exploration. It’s giving young man trying to redefine manhood. And most importantly - it’s giving the best show of the season vibes! Let’s talk about Malcolm Todd for a second — the 21-year-old pop-adjacent R&B wonder boy who’s been on the slowest, steadiest, most beautifully chaotic come-up we’ve seen in a while. He’s not industry-manufactured. He’s not blog-hyped. He’s just... real bro, for real. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Malcolm started releasing music in 2020 from what honestly sounded like a laptop in his bedroom. His moods? Lo-fi, crunchy, and just oh so charming. And over the last few years, he’s quietly built one of the most loyal, lovesick fanbases out there — one TikTok clip, one oddly romantic lyric, one vulnerable little chorus at a time.

The music? It sits somewhere between Steve Lacy and Omar Apollo, with a little bit of Frank Ocean’s heartbreak and a whole lot of its own personality. By 2023, songs like “Roommates” and “Art House” had become online anthems — the kind of songs people play while pacing around their room pretending they’re in an A24 movie. Then came Sweet Boy, the mixtape that sealed the deal. And now, with his self-titled debut album Malcolm Todd out in the world (and the deluxe Still dropping this week), he’s fully entered his Main Character era.
